The WorkStation suite

Team chat built around a task board

Team chat, video meetings and webinars — one account, one bill, one audit log.

WorkStation Chat

The written half of the workspace

Channels, direct messages, files, task boards and an assistant that reads the thread — on the same account, audit log and servers as your meetings. Start a call from a conversation, and the conversation is still there when it ends.

Looks good. Can we huddle for five minutes to agree the order?

Message #product-launch…

One account, one audit log, one bill

Chat is not a second tool bolted to the meeting product. It is the same workspace, so the conversation, the call and the work that came out of it stay together.

A call is one click from a thread

Start a meeting from the conversation it belongs to. Everyone in the channel can join, and what the meeting leaves behind comes back to the same place.

Spaces carry their own board

Group the channels a team uses and get a task board only that Space's members can see. Adding somebody to a Space hands them the board, never the conversations.

Built for a clinical workspace

Retention windows, an append-only audit log, and a patient queue whose card titles are tokens rather than names — so a waiting-room screen can never show one.

Trust and security

Written conversations, on servers we run

The database and the real-time messaging run on servers we operate, and every request re-checks that you belong to the workspace you are reading. Attachments are kept in private Cloudflare R2 storage, and a notification that passes through Google, Apple or Mozilla carries no message text.

Everything in the chat app today

Not a roadmap. Every line below is something you can use in the product this week.

Conversations

  • Channels for a team, DMs for a person
  • Reply with the message quoted above your answer
  • Edit, pin, forward and bookmark any message
  • Emoji reactions, with a sound you can switch off
  • Delete for yourself, or for everyone
  • Typing, presence and unread counts over one WebSocket
  • Mentions that actually notify the person
  • A Saved view for what you kept

Files and media

  • Attachments up to 200 MB
  • Images open in a lightbox, video and audio play inline
  • A Files view across the whole workspace
  • Stored privately in Cloudflare R2, never in a public bucket
  • Served by short-lived signed links, never public URLs
  • Soft delete with a retention window
  • A workspace-wide Starred view
  • Forwarding, so a file reaches the channel that needed it

Spaces, boards and the clinic queue

  • A Space groups channels and owns its own task board
  • Lists, cards, assignees, due dates and priorities
  • A Space board is private to that Space's members
  • Calendar view, and the whole board works on a phone
  • A shared whiteboard on every Space
  • A patient check-in queue with a waiting-room display
  • Card history is append-only: who moved what, and when
  • Deleting a Space takes its cards with it

AI that reads the room

  • Summarise a conversation you were not in
  • Catch up on only what you missed
  • Draft a reply in the thread's own context
  • Suggested replies you can send or ignore
  • Pull the action items out of a thread
  • Translate any message in place
  • Every extracted item carries the quote it came from
  • Off for PHI until your workspace turns it on

What a message can become

The point of putting chat and meetings on one platform is that a sentence never has to be retyped to become something else.

A task
On the Space's board, with an owner and a date
A meeting
Started from the thread, with everyone already in it
A bookmark
In your Saved view, out of everyone else's way
A pin
At the top of the channel, for the people who missed it
A translation
In place, without leaving the conversation
A drawing
On the Space's shared whiteboard
A due date
On the board's calendar, and in the phone view
A notification
Saying who and where, and never what

Questions worth a straight answer

No, and it would be misleading to say otherwise. Chat is encrypted in transit with TLS and messages are stored in our own database, on servers we operate; attachments are kept in private Cloudflare R2 storage. End-to-end encryption, where the key never reaches our servers, is a property of Healthcare-mode meetings: a message you can summarise, translate and read on a second device is a message the server has to be able to read.

Put the conversation where the work is

Chat and meetings are one workspace and one subscription. Start on the free plan and add people when you need to.
